The inverter’s 6kW rating describes its rated power output, while the battery’s 5.12kWh rating describes nominal energy storage. These figures measure different aspects of the system and do not guarantee a particular backup duration.

GROWATT 6kW OFF-GRID INVERTER

The Growatt inverter converts power for use by compatible electrical loads within its operating limits. Appliance selection must account for both normal running power and additional startup demand from equipment such as pumps, refrigerators and other motor-driven appliances.

This is an off-grid inverter package. It should not be advertised as a grid-export system. Available operating modes and input connections must be checked against the exact inverter model supplied.

DYNESS 5.12kWh LITHIUM BATTERY

The Dyness battery provides 5.12kWh of nominal energy storage. Actual usable energy depends on the battery’s operating limits, system settings and conditions.

Backup duration depends on the connected load, available battery charge and conversion losses. The battery’s ability to supply power must also be considered: the inverter’s 6kW rating does not mean one battery can support that output continuously.

SOLAR CHARGING AND SYSTEM DESIGN

Where solar panels are connected, the installer must check the exact inverter’s solar input limits and design the panel strings accordingly.

Solar generation varies with panel capacity, sunlight, orientation, shading and temperature. This package does not guarantee a fixed daily electricity yield or uninterrupted power.

INSTALLATION AND COMPATIBILITY

A suitably qualified installer must confirm compatibility between the exact Growatt inverter and Dyness battery models, including communication, charging settings and discharge limits.

Installation and commissioning must follow both manufacturers’ instructions and applicable South African electrical requirements. Any connection to the property’s electrical installation requires appropriate protection and changeover arrangements.
